Awesome product overall and timely shipping. We have been able to take the tent out a couple times now, including a rainy night in the Smoky Mountains. It did great and kept us comfortable and dry.
We went with this tent for the size- we are a family of 4. Our kids are small enough that we can all fit in the tent relatively comfortably. The ladder was one of the longest we found, which helped with the final decision since it is on our lifted Excursion.
The awning made life in the rain much more bearable and was great for cooking breakfast in a dry spot. I would recommend tying the zipper off to the tent. It does not have a feature to secure it and will unzip some if it’s windy.
Our mounting hardware was short one carriage bolt. We sourced a different bolt and made it work. Note that the hardware and brackets are not designed for heavy duty, square racks. We bent the bottom piece a bit more and are making it work.
Our LED lights works mostly, but there seem to be broken wires. Having the light is a great bonus, but some of the colors don’t work.
Plan on cleaning the tent before use. We had aluminum and plastic shavings throughout and broken rivets on the mattress.
Functionality is definitely there and we love how easy it is to set up and take down. Looking forward to more camping trips with it.
